Spay or Neuter Your Pet

Texas law now requires any animal adopted from a Humane Society or Animal Shelter to be spayed or neutered.

Adequate Food and Shelter

• Cats are adoptable only as indoor pets.
• Outside dogs are required to remain inside a fenced yard within the city limits, and need at least a three-sided shelter. 
• Do not chain your animal at any time, unless on a leash.
• All animals should be provided a good home with dry, clean sleeping quarters, wholesome food, and clean, fresh water in sufficient amounts.

Other Responsibilities

• Be patient with your new pet as it gets familiar with its new home and family.
• Never abuse or mistreat your pet, or allow others to do so.
